Questions, answered.
The things parents ask most about Over Their Lives.
What is Over Their Lives?
It's a mobile app that helps a parent pray over their children intentionally, consistently and holistically. It is Christian and scripture-based, and it's made for the parent rather than the child. It's in development now, launching Christmas Day 2026.
Who is it for?
Parents and other adults who want to pray for the children in their care. Children don't have accounts, and the app isn't directed at them.
When does it launch?
Christmas Day 2026. You can join the founding-families list on our homepage to be among the first to hear.
Which phones does it work on?
iPhone and Android.
Do I need an account?
Yes. You create an account so your children, your prayers and your journal are saved and kept private to you.
How do you decide which prayers to show for my child?
You add each child with a name and date of birth, and prayers are chosen for their age across three bands — 0–5, 6–12 and 13–18. The same theme is prayed differently for a young child and a teenager.
Can I pray for more than one child?
Yes. You can add each child you pray for, and prayers are chosen for each one's age.
What are Body, Soul and Spirit?
They're the three dimensions every prayer belongs to: Body (health, protection, sleep, growth), Soul (mind, emotions, friendships, courage) and Spirit (faith, identity, purpose). Praying across all three — rather than only a child's safety — is the heart of the app.
Can I write my own prayers and notes?
Yes. The Journal is a private place to write your own thoughts, prayers and what happened. It stays private to you, always.
What do you do with my child's information?
A child's name, date of birth and gender are used only to choose and personalise the prayers you pray, and are visible only to you. We don't sell your information, show advertising, or track you. The full details are in our Privacy Policy.
Can someone else pray alongside me?
Inviting a spouse, grandparent or friend to pray alongside you is planned for a future release. It isn't available yet, and it won't be part of the app at launch.
What if I miss a day?
Nothing happens — the app is a help, not a scoreboard. Pick up wherever you are; the daily reminder is there to encourage you, not to keep score.
