How it works

What it's like to use.

From adding your child to keeping a daily rhythm — here is what praying with Over Their Lives will be like when it launches Christmas Day 2026.

1. Add your child

You add each child with a name and a date of birth. The date of birth isn't decoration: prayers are chosen for your child's age, across three bands — 0–5, 6–12 and 13–18 — so the same theme is prayed differently for a toddler than for a teenager. You can pray over more than one child.

2. Choose what to pray

Browse prayers by category — Health, Heart, School, People, Choices, Faith, and Psalms & Hymns — or by the three dimensions below. Or take a Plan: a curated set of themes to pray over a set number of weeks, so that choosing what to pray isn't one more decision at the end of the day.

Body

Health, protection, sleep, growth — the child you can hold.

Soul

Mind, emotions, friendships, courage — who they are becoming.

Spirit

Faith, identity, purpose — what leads them to God.

Every prayer belongs to one of these three. Praying across all of them is the point — not only a child's safety and their grades, but the whole of their life.

3. Pray

Read each prayer the way that helps you most: a guided view that separates Scripture, prayer points, declarations and thanksgiving — or flowing prose. You choose, and the app remembers your choice. You pray in the room you've set for your prayer time — Goshen, the Mercy Seat, My Place of Victory, the Prayer Altar, the Secret Place, the Armory, the Upper Room, or the War Room. Anything you want to return to, you keep in My Scroll.

4. Write it down

The Journal is a private place to write — thoughts, prayers, what happened, how a prayer was answered. It is private to you, always.

5. Keep the rhythm

Set a daily reminder at a time you choose — a gentle nudge, not a scoreboard. And read comfortably: there's a text-size setting, and the app respects your phone's own font scaling.
